New Supporters Join to Support 11-year-old Dog Bite Victim and his Bill at the State Capitol
May 27, 2015 – ALBANY, N.Y. — On Tuesday June 2, 2015, at 1 p.m. Senator Joseph P. Addabbo Jr. (D-Howard Beach) and Assemblyman Frank Skartados (D- Milton) will join 11 year old dog bite victim Frankie Flora in hosting a press conference advocating to pass the Frankie Flora Bill Bill No. S2494A in the Press Office RM 130 LOB at the State Capitol.
Since 2009 New York resident Frankie Flora has been working with senators, assemblymen and dog bite victim supporters to pass a bill that would hold dog owners accountable for the first time and every time a dog bites someone.
Senator Joseph P. Addabbo Jr. is the bills current sponsor. “This legislation will help to promote responsible dog ownership and socialization while ensuring that New Yorkers who are seriously injured by dog bites do not face the added pain of trying to shoulder highly expensive medical bills on their own,” says Senator Joseph P. Addabbo Jr.
